OREF's 2021 Resident Research Symposia (RRS) schedule will close with its first ever national competition on Wednesday, November 17. We're excited to announce this expansion of the popular Resident Research Symposia program. Winners from the three regional events held this fall will join the winners of the Midwest Region Symposium held earlier this year and co-hosted by the University of Iowa in the national competition.
Fall 2021 symposia include:
- October 6, 2021—Western RRS hosted by University of California, San Diego
- October 14, 2021—Northeast RRS hosted by Dartmouth-Hitchcock
- October 27, 2021—Southeast RRS hosted by Duke University School of Medicine
For details about the fall symposia, visit OREF's Resident Research Symposia webpage.
The top-scoring presenters from each of this year's regional events will compete for the national title and cash prizes, and the National Grand Prize winner will be introduced at an OREF event held at the 2022 American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Conference scheduled to be held March 22-26 in Chicago. The Grand Prize will include travel costs to the conference.
All five symposia will be broadcast on OREF TV. To view any symposium the day it's held as well as on demand afterward, go to OREF TV
