2026 Resident Paper Contest

When is this happening?
April 16-19, 2026 – Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort
Papers will be presented on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

How Can You Participate?
Submit your paper HERE no later than December 31, 2025. You can submit more than one paper.

Resident's awards will be:
  • Lloyd W. Taylor, MD Resident Award
  • Orthopaedic Institute for Children Resident Award
  • OREF Resident Award
  • J. Harold La Briola, MD Resident Award
  • Clinical Awards
Eligibility:
  • You must be a current Resident in a California Orthopaedic Program.
  • You must be a member of COA - just $25 - (the PAC is optional) Renew/Become a Member Username is your email Password: COA2024!
  • Papers submitted for consideration must be in CLINICAL RESEARCH only - no basic science papers will be accepted). You must submit the full paper and an abstract limited to 500 words.
  • The Clinical Research must have been performed during your residency and you must be the primary author.
  • Your paper can already have been presented or published.
