Congratulations, Midwest RRS Winners!
Twenty-five resident investigators participated in the 2026 Midwest Region Resident Research Symposium. The April 20th event, which was co-hosted by Washington University in St. Louis, featured research presentations from nine regional orthopaedic residency programs.

The event featured a keynote presentation from renowned orthopaedic surgeon and investigator Cecilia Pascual-Garrido, MD, PhD, who spoke about her work to unravel the mechanism of hip arthritis. Dr. Pascual-Garrido is an associate professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Washington University School of Medicine as well as an esteemed researcher. Respected researcher Regis J. O'Keefe, MD, PhD, served as host of the symposium. Dr. O'Keefe is the Fred C. Reynolds Professor and Chair in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Washington University School of Medicine.
