Opportunities Requiring a Letter of Intent
LOIs due April 22, 2026
Letters of Intent (LOI) must be completed for the following grants. All properly submitted LOIs will be reviewed by the Research Grants Committee. If your LOI is selected to advance, you will be invited to complete a full proposal.
- Resident Clinician Scientist Training Grant (4 available) provides $20,000 in funding to prepare residents for a career with research as a major component.
Resident Research Project Grant (6 available) provides $5,000 in funding to residents who are interested in research
- Resident Research Project Grant (6 available) provides $5,000 in funding to residents who are interested in research.
Additional Opportunity Opening March 23
Applications due June 24, 2026
- Mentored Clinician Scientist Grant provides $20,000 for the development of new clinician scientists who have demonstrated success as both a clinician and a researcher. This grant allows investigators to spend dedicated time in research for a period of up to five years to develop a long and productive career in academic surgery.
