Congratulations, Southeast RRS Winners!
Twenty-five resident investigators were invited to present at the 2026 Southeast Region Resident Research Symposium on Friday, August 14. The event, which was co-hosted by Orlando Health and the Jewett Orthopedic Institute in Orlando, FL, showcased researchfrom eight regional orthopaedic resident programs.

The event featured a keynote presentation from M. Kareem Shaath, MD, a fellowship-trained trauma surgeon and Chairman of Orthopedic Surgery at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Dr. Shaath's presentation focused on translating common clinical questions and into high-impact resident research. Dr. Shaath also serves as the Chief of Orthopedic Research for the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute.
