Kyleen Jan, MD, Takes First Place at Midwest Research Symposium

Rush University Medical Center orthopaedic resident places first in research symposium

Kyleen Jan, MD, a first-year orthopaedic resident at Rush University Medical Center, took first place honors in the OREF Midwest Region Resident Research Symposium on May 3, 2024. Dr. Jan's presentation, THA-10 Score Predicts Conversion to Total Hip Arthroplasty After Hip Arthroscopy for Femoroacetabular Impingement Syndrome at Minimum 10-Year Follow-Up, received the highest score from judges. Dr. Jan received her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Twenty-eight residents participated in the Midwest symposium. Dr. Jan, along with the second and third-place winners, will compete in OREF's national championship in November. For more information about OREF's resident research symposia program, click here.
