Research Agenda Provides Guidance for Prioritizing Studies

In 2024, the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA) Research Council developed a Consensus-Based Research Agenda. This initiative aimed to identify the most clinically relevant and impactful questions to guide future research and funding in the field of pediatric orthopaedics. The process began in January 2024, with an open invitation to all POSNA members. After three rounds of consensus-driven review and voting, 16 questions were selected based on their clinical relevance, feasibility, and the strength of support across subspecialties. Orthopaedic surgeons, researchers, and funding stakeholders are encouraged to use this agenda as a strategic guide to prioritize investigations and foster collaboration to advance pediatric orthopaedic care.
