Apply now for OREF/MTEC Solutions to Accelerate Return-to-Readiness following Musculoskeletal Injuries Grant

OREF is excited to partner with the Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium (MTEC) and the Department of Defense’s Military Operational Medicine Research Program (MOMRP) to fund research addressing solutions to accelerate return-to-readiness for Service Members experiencing musculoskeletal injuries. OREF and MOMRP will provide peer review on the grant applications. It is expected that up to two grants will be awarded from the $1.5 million in available funding.

Below is an excerpt from the pre-announcement shared today by MTEC. The Request for Project Proposals (RPP) is expected to be released on December 22, 2022. Interested applicants will be required to submit an Enhanced White Paper utilizing the format specified in the RPP. More information will be available on the MTEC website and SAM.gov, as well as on the OREF website.

The Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium (MTEC) is excited to post this pre-announcement for a Request for Project Proposals (RPP) with the objective to identify and enable the development of solutions to accelerate recovery following acute or cumulative musculoskeletal injury. Prototypes may include developing medical technologies (e.g. drugs, biologics, and devices) and treatments or rehabilitative strategies (e.g. methods, guidelines, standards, knowledge products) for musculoskeletal injuries.
