AFSH Resident and Fellow Fast Track Grants Open
The 2026 application period for Resident and Fellow Fast Track Grants from the American Foundation for Surgery of the Hand (AFSH) is open. This research opportunity, designed specifically for residents and fellows, awards $5K for young investigators to conduct innovative research with limited time and resources, functioning similarly to the NIH R03 grant mechanism. Special funding is available for projects related to arthritis management, fragility fractures/bone health, emerging technology, and healthcare disparities in hand surgery. To be considered, submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) by July 6 as the first step in the application process. Upon LOI acceptance, full application materials will be due August 24.
