OREF funds both investigator- and agenda-driven research. Agenda-driven topics are focused on a specific area of research that is particularly relevant to the field. Within its agenda-driven portfolio, OREF’s Collaborative Research Agenda (CRA) program takes a multi-partner approach to funding research. Through the CRA, OREF brings together researchers, orthopaedic surgeons, industry and other orthopaedic organizations to identify and fund research which addresses current areas of need for basic and translational research.
Current agenda-driven programs (including CRA topics) include:
- Trauma (CRA)
- Youth Sports Injuries
- Hip and Knee Arthoplasty Infection (CRA)
- Bone Infection
- Stem Cells
