OREF supports independent, peer-reviewed musculoskeletal research seeking clinically relevant advancements that orthopaedic surgeons can apply in daily practice to help patients enjoy more of life.
All OREF research grant and award recipients are selected through OREF's independent, peer-review process, which is modeled on the process used by the National Institutes of Health.
Academic Year 2010 - 2011 OREF will invite applications for 2011 funding for qualified, clinically relevant orthopaedic research and education projects as grants and awards are funded.

OREF/ORS Symposia for Residents in 2010 Made possible through grant support provided by Biomet and Synthes

In 2010, OREF will partner with the Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) to give residents the opportunity to participate in the 13th annual Resident Research Symposia.
Resident Research Symposia give orthopaedic residents at area training programs an opportunity to present research papers and posters to a panel of experienced investigators and clinicians. Panels comprised of established orthopaedic investigators critique and rank the work, and top presenters are acknowledged. Past participants — residents, panelists, and mentoring attending physicians — have told us these sessions are challenging, rewarding, and fun. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TOP PRESENTERS recognized below
