Introduction
In the last 50 years, research in orthopaedics — much of it funded by OREF — has led to improvements in patient care including: advances that make bones heal faster; new and improved devices for hip, knee, shoulder, and spinal care; and medications that relieve pain and foster speedier recovery. In addition, we benefi t from improved care through arthroscopic surgical treatments, and improved treatment methods for forearm injuries.
