YOUNG RESEARCHERS FLOOD OREF WITH FUNDING REQUESTS

RECORD-BREAKER The number of research grant applications OREF has received for Project Year 2011 represents a 34% increase over last year, with 353 proposals received. The amount of funding requested, $16.2 million, is an 89% increase over requests received for Project Year 2010.

If past trends hold, our peer review teams will highly rank roughly twice as many proposals as we have funding to support.

EVERY GIFT MATTERS.
Please encourage your members to help OREF fund more clinically relevant research and education. Generous giving by orthopaedic surgeons by December 31 will support more of the clinically relevant research that contributes to quality of life for orthopaedists and their patients.
