Free of bias, approved by monitors appointed by the Department of Justice Created to facilitate corporate support for quality education and training for orthopaedic surgeons throughout their career cycles, the CDP program provides impressive returns on industry’s investment in improved outcomes while complying with best practices.
- Independent, transparent grant-making that is free of bias
- Establishes OREF as solely responsible for inviting, reviewing and evaluating applications, determining qualified candidates, and selecting recipients
- Directed and overseen by the OREF Educational Grants Board, all orthopaedic surgeons who are free from industry conflicts for a minimum of two years prior to their term of service

OREF invites your company to add — or renew — its support In its first six months, the CDP program attracted nearly $5 million in support from seven industry partners. Of that, $3.2 million has already been awarded to 50 institutions in the form of fellowship grants. And more than $1 million in additional grants will be awarded through the fall.
