OREF & AOSSM—partnering for success

Help support the research—and the researchers—responsible for reshaping orthopaedics with a gift to AOSSM through OREF. OREF funds research and education that benefits all of orthopaedics and also helps raise funds for AOSSM projects. Since 1995, OREF-AOSSM collaborations have raised more than $3.2 million for AOSSM-directed and administered research and education grants.

Through 2010, OREF has raised more than $30 million for its partner organizations and has itself funded, through OREF-directed contributions, $85 million in research and education to advance the science and practice of orthopaedics..

All gifts of $1,000 or more to the OREF Annual Campaign earn Order of Merit recognition.  AAOS members giving $2,500 or more are eligible for early bird registration for Priority Housing at the AAOS Annual Meeting.

Order of Merit Level Donations—$1,000 or more
Platinum $5,000+…$Gold $2,500+…Silver $1,000+

Donors contributing to the OREF Annual Campaign at the Order of Merit Level may designate a portion of their gift to The American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM). A minimum of $500 goes to OREF. (Order of Merit Level contributors receive special recognition).

Donations—less than $1,000: Bronze: $500+…Copper up to $499.99

Donors contributing up to $999.99 to the OREF Annual Campaign may designate 50% of their donation to AOSSM. The remaining 50% goes to OREF. For example a $700 contribution results in AOSSM receiving $350.
